Hemispheres Actions for Earth "Waste Watcher" Challenge aims specifically to give youths a better understanding of how a wateful lifestyle adds greenhouse gases to our atmosphere. Learning and acknowledging our wasteful lifestyle habits would subsequently encourage our youths to reduce their CO2 emissions or offset them through various creative like inventing a gadget or device that reduces waste.

Back to Top'Waste Watcher' Invention
Some of the best ideas of inventing something new is to look at your surrounding; identify what you have, what you need. Such as
- A recycling bin to separate food, paper and plastic to be used in the kitchen - solution to recycle waste.
- Stickers or tags as a reminder to switch off electrical switches - solution to reduce energy
- Rainwater collection - solution to recycle water usage.
- Make bags, mats, cushion covers, cushions from old clothes – solution to reduce waste.
- Capture images of the process in creating the invention and include them in your media presentation.
Bring your final creation on 19 May 11.00 am to the venue at Orchard Central for judging.
